We provide on-site and in-house ID, PD, ME, and interaction design services to clients throughout the bay area. 1- Product Designer/Mechanical Engineer, Full time Position: Job summary: Augment mechanical engineering teams on-site for variety of clients in the South Bay area. Individual Projects range from 1 week to 6 months. = Your role will change as needed for different clients & different phases in the product design cycle. You will work directly with our clients' Mechanical Engineers to design & document parts & assemblies. You will work on feasibility studies by coordinating prototype models & building design verification models. You will update production CAD designs & documentation as the product nears mass production. You will support Engineers in Asia to trouble shoot design problems. For the right candidate there is opportunity to manage more junior engineers & travel internationally (if desired). = Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering. Job Requirements: 2-8 years experience designing high volume electronic consumer products. **Be prepared to show examples of your work** More than 2 years using UG, ProE, or Solidworks (UG preferred). Experience with part & assembly drawings. = Experience designing engineering feasibility study models. Salary range of $57,000 to $82,000 depending on experience & ability.
